Meihr dished her plate, selecting a slice of the meat and filling the rest of her plate with fruit. She then settled down near the middle of the table. Iwan waited for the others to dish up before he would.
I sat there silently in art class, staring at the wall in front of me, thinking of your grin, and smiled. I saw you look to me out of the corner of my eye; saw the corners of your lips bend upward into a grin, then look away. My smile got wider. You noticed me. ♥

Kendra picked up a plate, placing a piece of meat along one of the sides, filling the rest of the space with fruits and potatoes. She grinned, looking down at her meal. She then turned and scanned the table for a place to sit, and decided on sitting next to Meihr. She hobbled over, set her plate down and pulled out the chair, sitting.

Des was a vegetarian, so she only ate the fruit and veggies that had been prepared. She decided to sit across from Meihr and Kendra. She set her plate down, pulled out her chair and sat down in it. She smiled at the girls. "Looks great, doesn't it?" she asked them, looking at the food.
Alex stepped aside and motioned for Iwan to go next. "Guests first." he said to him simply. He wanted to make Iwan feel welcomed right from the start.
Sometimes life just becomes so overwhelming, so complicated, and so busy. But then I think of you and my day gets better. In a life full of complex, action-packed, dramatrizing stories and movies I realize that simple is better. <3 Live. Laugh. Love. <3

Meihr nodded, grinning, "Absolutely."
Iwan smiled, and nodded, stepping forward. He dished up with some meat, and added fruit to the side. He then made his way to the table, and sat down beside Des, and across from Kendra.

Alex followed after Iwan and took a little bit of everything. He walked over to the group and sat down next on the other side of Meihr. "Looks great!" he said. "You girls did a great job." he added, looking at each one of them.
"Thanks." Des said, placing a strand of hair behind her ear. "It was a lot easier since you guys helped out. I'm not sure if I would have gotten everything done with you." she said to them.

Meihr smiled, "I loved helping out. It was no problem." She tugged at a ribbon wrapped around her wrist, and pulled her hair back, tieing the ribbon loosely.

Kendra nodded, looking over the meal. "You guys did great," she said, agreeing with Alex. She smiled at each of them. She then felt a faint pause of breath beating down her neck. She jumped and turned around, only seeing her stallion, looking at her plate savagely. She smiled, popped a few potatoes into her hand and threw them out, smiling as Thunder raced to get them all in his mouth.

Des smiled at Kendra. "Thank you." she said sweetly and continued to eat her dinner.
"I can help clean up tonight." Alex offered. Since it had only been the two of them, Des would do the dishes, but since they had more friends now, he felt that it would be a nice jesture to offer up some help.
Des glanced over at him and smiled. "Thank you, Alex. It's most appreciated." she said.

Iwan swallowed his bite, and questioned, "Is there anything that I could help with?" Meanwhile Maldwyn had crawled up from the bench, rearing onto his hindlegs and snatched a morsel of meat from below Iwan's nose, without him noticing. The pup sat down and chewed at the sweet treat, his tail wagging rapidly and one ear flopped.

"More than," Iwan nodded to Alex, smiling. He then looked to his plate as Maldwyn was sneaking another slice of meat. Iwan frowned, and as if the pup sensed the attention, he looked up to Iwan sheepishly, and set down the meat. Iwan rolled his eyes, and set the meat on the seat beside him, "Go on little rascal."

Des giggled a little at the sight of the pup. "I see you've got a soft spot for animals." she said to Iwan with a smile. She loved animals herself, especially baby animals, like the pup.

Iwan nodded, grinning widely, "Indeed. I always have." His smile grew wider as he felt the pup's wet nose brush against his hand. He looked down to Maldwyn, whose tail was again wagging rapidly, his tongue swiping twice across his lips.
Meihr shifted in her seat, her meal having been finished. She piled her silverware and mug onto her plate, and stood, "Excuse me a moment." She turned away and made her way to the door. Stepping outside, a smile crossed her face as she saw the large black figure approach her. "How was your dinner?" Arawn questioned. "Wonderful," Meihr smiled. "Well if it was so amazing...why did you leave it?" "I needed some air." "Been a while huh?" "Yah. Even if I ate most of my meals in crowded inns...I never actually ate them with anyone," Meihr shrugged. Arawn nodded slowly, "So have you thought about how long we'll be here?" "No...not really," Meihr replied hesitantly. "I like it here," Arawn said. "Because you can talk?" Meihr questioned, giggling slightly. "Well...that's a nice addition. But no...it's not just that. There's magic here. I can feel it with every strand of hair on my body. I can smell it even. A sweet, yet soothing smell. It's calming yet energizing. It makes me want to prance and thunder through the fields. Speaking of which...have you seen the field to the north?" "I don't believe I have." "Oh it's wonderful!" Arawn exclaimed. "The grass is delicious. There's a tiny little creek running through it, spilling it's water into a large pond. The moon shines so brightly there." The enthusiasm in Arawn's voice was clear. "How about you take me there-" Arawn laughed happily and shifted so that Meihr could climb onto his back. "After I finish helping them clean up," Meihr finished, giggling again. Arawn frowned slightly, though shrugged it off and turned back to Meihr, "Alright. I'll wait here." "Mmkay," Meihr nodded. She leaned over to kiss Arawn's lowered muzzle, then turned back to the building.

Kendra sighed as Meihr left. She looked up to Thunder as he paraded around behind Alex. She laughed and looked down to her meal, popping a piece of meat into her mouth, chein and then swallowing. It was most delicious.

Alex glanced up as he saw Meihr leave and placed his own silverwear and mug on to his plate. He stood up and pushed his chair back a little before taking up his plate. "Anyone else finished?" he asked them.
Des nodded. "Yes, I am." she said, placing everything on to the plate. She started to get up, but Alex held up his hand and motioned for her to sit back down.
He reached over and took her plate. "I can take it." he told her with a smile.
Des smiled back. "Ok." she said sweetly. She looked back at the others and then to the pup.

Meihr stepped back into the room, brushing off the front of her dress, and reached for her plate and cup she had left on the table, "Need help cleaning up?"
Iwan stood from his seat, taking up his dishes and glancing around the table for any other empty dishes.
